Activities of Fuji Xerox and the Four Technological Cores
The following is an introduction to the four technological cores that support Fuji Xerox's business operations. The underlying aim of each core is to provide products and services that can build an environment in which our customers can create and utilise knowledge effectively. We are constantly engaged in new research and development to mobilise our accumulated technologies and know-how to further our business vision - the "Open Office Frontier." We also strive to continuously deliver innovative ideas in order to realize an office environment that is more open, and in which people are connected through better communication.
- What is Ubiquitous (Service/System) Technology?
"Ubiquitous" technology explores effective management and utilisation of documents, sharing of knowledge, and collaboration in the ubiquitous society.
- What is Digital Imaging Technology?
This is about an imaging/printing technology with xerographic technology at its core, capable of coping with the challenges of high-speed, high-quality imaging and network on demand.
- What is Fundamental (material, device, optics) Technology?
Our material/device technology and system technology that enable you to easily and safely handle a large volume of documents. We also introduce our evaluation and analysis techniques which form the basis for technological development.
- What is Environmental Technology?
Fuji Xerox is realizing its "Ecology and Safety Vision" by creating products and technologies that aim to reduce any unwanted impacts on the environment. The technologies range from those for energy and natural-resource conservation of copy machines and printers, to those for improved coordination between hardware and software, and those that take the entire life cycle of products into consideration.
