Fuji Xerox unveils DocuCentre-II C3000
Ideal solution for Hong Kong's SMEs; easy to use; compact yet powerful; remarkable productivity with affordable colour
Fuji Xerox, The Document Company today launched DocuCentre-II C3000 a next generation multifunctional and multitasking device designed to meet the needs of Hong Kong's SMEs. Compact yet extremely powerful, the DocuCentre-II C3000 offers all of the advantages of a black and white multifunctional device yet delivers affordable colour as and when it is needed.
The DocuCentre-II C3000 is ideal for SME or workgroups that need advanced monochrome multifunction features, colour scanning and the ability to occasionally print in colour. A fully featured network printer, copier, scanner and fax machine, it is simplicity itself to operate. It is an extremely cost-effective solution for the small to medium sized business.
Fuji Xerox has also launched a new Customer Care Officer (CCO) service (see separate news release). Designed to help SMEs get the most out of their multifunction devices, this service enables companies design compelling promotional materials such as coupons, leaflets posters and menus.
"Hong Kong's SMEs are becoming increasingly competitive. With limited resources and manpower, they are seeking ways to improve their productivity to support their business," said Debby Chan, Director of Marketing at Fuji Xerox. "They are looking for cost-effective systems that produce fast, efficient, high-quality results. The DocuCentre-II C3000 is ideal because it is such a flexible document management system. When coupled with our CCO service, this new device promises the ultimate in quality, cost-effective output and productivity improvements."
Printing and copying up to 32 ppm black and white and 8 ppm colour, the DocuCentre-II C3000 multifunction device produces high-quality images with true 1200 x 600 dpi print resolution. Emulsion Aggregate High Grade (EA-HG) toner delivers crisp black detail and vibrant colour.
The device provides several advanced features, such as the ability to save document workflows. This automates sending scanned documents to a variety of locations simultaneously. For example, with one scan, users can send a document to multiple fax numbers, email addresses and network folders - directly from the DocuCentre-II C3000.
Pilot customer, Neway Karaoke, is currently using the DocuCentre-II C3000 to send purchase orders directly to its 23 suppliers. At the push of a button, Neway can send a PO to a supplier, plus a copy to its headquarters, concurrently.
"We are already seeing the benefits of the DocuCentre-II C3000," said David Lam, Procurement Manager at Neway Karaoke. "It has not only streamlined our workflow, it has enabled us to cut down on the amount of paper we would normally use."
The device can also store up to 500 commonly used forms or templates, such as purchase orders and expense reports, and print them on-demand from the control panel. The DocuCentre-II C3000 also features "smart paper trays" that automatically match paper size to the print or copy job.
The DocuCentre-II C3000 has an intuitive touch-screen interface that provides easy access to all of its advanced features and can be customised to support frequently used features.
It also offers advanced security and management features enabling customers to restrict access, track usage and protect confidential information. The DocuCentre-II C3000 multifunction device encrypts data to prevent access by unauthorised viewers to scanned documents en route to file servers or other network repositories.
Delivering true business value to Hong Kong's SMEs, the DocuCentre-II C3000 supports a full range of Fuji Xerox document management software, including DocuWorks, CentreWare Flow Services and DocuShare. It is also compatible with the existing Fuji Xerox eOffice Solutions, which includes "eDesktop" for handling document input, "eFiling" for document sharing and management, "Document Flow" for scanning, faxing and distribution, as well as a "Cost Management" solution for output management and cost accounting.
Fuji Xerox also today unveiled a new "China/Hong Kong Cross Border Finance Scheme", for customers whose business operations span both Hong Kong and mainland China. This simple, one-stop financial scheme has been tailored specifically so that customers can pay the leasing fees for their document management solutions in Hong Kong dollars, and install them in China.
Sound financial management is a key success factor for an SME. To help them kick-start their business with a reliable financial system, Fuji Xerox also announced a partnership with MYOB, a leading provider of the best-selling business management software for SMEs in Hong Kong and Australia. Under the partnership, the companies will jointly offer end-to-end accounting and workflow solutions, bundling MYOB Business Basic accounting system with DocuCentre-II C3000.
