The ApeosPort-II series operate as a network "gateways" to an open office environment from the intranet to the internet via Fuji Xerox's original Web Services technology, Apeos iiX. Using Apeos iiX framework, you can enjoy seamless linkage to mission critical processes and business services. In addition, support for Application Service Providers (ASP), now allows small-and medium-sized offices to connect securely over the internet via ApeosPort-II multifunction devices. This does away with the need for expensive and complicated server installations and facilitates document exchange with offices outside the corporate intranet.

In an inter-company environment, where firewalls are absent, security functions must be tighten to ensure proper handling of confidential documents. Thus, to prevent unauthorised duplications, the device is enhanced with a paper security function that restricts coping, faxing and scanning of confidential information by embedding the digital codes into the document. The ApeosPort-II offers the strongest security for documents management. A device certificate is required for scanning, distributing, opening and printing both within and outside the network environment. With PKI encryption it allows documents to be distributed via S/MIME and SSL. This multifunction system encrypts data to prevent access by unauthorized viewers to scanned documents en route to file servers or other network repositories.

A complete set of management tools are provided to make device administration easy. These tools allow you to restrict each device function usage on a per user basis. Device usage data can be obtained and output to a CSV file for use in accounting and spreadsheet applications.

The ApeosPort-II and DocuCentre-II C4300/C3300/C2200 come with advanced features to delight everyone in your organisation. With a quick warm up time of less than 45 seconds and First-Copy-Out-Time as fast as 4.8 seconds colour and 7.2 seconds mono which reduces waiting time and improves productivity.

Printing and copying up to 35/31/26 ppm colour and 45/35/26 ppm black and white, ApeosPort-II and DocuCentre-II C4300/C3300/C2200 multifunction devices produces high-quality images with true 1200 x 1200 dpi print resolution. Emulsion Aggregate High Grade (EA-HG) toner delivers crisper, sharper output to light up your presentation.

ApeosPort-II's large, bright colour user interface has touch-screen buttons to give an intuitive feel and displays clear thumbnails of stored documents. For added convenience, the display can be customised to show frequently used functions at the top level of the screen  a great way to make it easy for staff to access common document storage routines without the need for extensive training.
