Fuji Xerox launches ApeosWare My Document Portal
 

The Ultimate, Single Document Portal Built-in to the ApeosPort Devices 

Fuji Xerox, The Document Company today launched ApeosWare My Document Portal, providing a revolutionary environment for the strategic management of information at the enterprise level. Derived from the Latin word "aperire" (meaning "open"), Apeos offers a flexible and highly secure way to input and share data from a multitude of sources over the entire enterprise locally as well as globally.

ApeosWare My Document Portal introduces a whole new experience of using multi-function devices (MFD). With a fully web-based user interface on a colour panel, the whole look-and-feel of the portal is easy to learn and use. Any task can be completed by pressing no more than three buttons. The complete workflow of document processing e.g. scan, print, fax, email, store, etc. is streamlined, and all functions are handy and intuitive to your selection.

Much more flexibility is offered to users in personalising their own user interfaces, scan/print/fax settings, and other preferences in using the MFD. For example, private address books for emails and faxes can be set-up through a web browser or batch-uploaded as a text file exported from MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, etc. User logins can be separately managed or directed to MS Active Directory or LDAP server, while all settings, preferences, and stored information are protected from access by unauthorised persons. 

With the portal, administrative resources can be greatly saved by centralising user configurations and settings. Once a setting is changed through a web browser interface, it will be automatically applied to all ApeoPorts MFDs through the Intranet or Internet, not limited by geographic locations.

Personalisation capability also allows an administrator to delegate set-up and administration rights to individual users, thus saving operating time and resources.

Expandability is another value-adding feature of the portal. Integration with internal business processes are made possible by connecting to various IT systems with continuous development and availability of application programming interface (API). The ApeosiiX Open platform allows customisations and integrations to be developed flexibly through XML and SOAP. Connectors to various Document Management Software, ERP systems and other business solutions would be developed and launched from time to time.
