Fuji Xerox's 14 sales and office operations in 12 Asia-Pacific countries/regions have acquired ISO 14001 certification after successfully demonstrating adherence to environmental management standards. Fuji Xerox Hong Kong was certified for ISO 14001 by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) in January 2004.
As a leading force in developing and implementing environmental best practices and new technologies in paper and compatible toner cartridge production, we are continually challenging our suppliers to meet and exceed standards for emissions to air, land and water as well as for preservation of natural resources set by environmental agencies.
Types of Environmental Friendly Papers
Our green products include various types of environmental friendly paper products as below:
Recycled Paper
Ordinary PPC paper is made of wood pulp and other materials like cotton, water…… etc. whereas recycled paper contains disposed waste to replace wood pulp. Our Xerox 100% Recycled Paper 80gsm A4 size is made of 100% post-consumer waste. The paper has premium quality and is environmental friendly.
Other Environmental Friendly Papers
The other environmental friendly papers are:
- Made of paper pulp that is certified with FSC
- Made of paper pulp that is certified with LEI
- Made under ECF and TCF technology of paper bleaching process
FSC
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, which was founded by a group of loggers, sociologists, foresters, and environmentalists in 1993. It is an international network to promote responsible management of the world's forests to ensure the sustainability of forestry.
LEI
LEI stands for Lembaga Ekolabel Indonesia. It refers to sustainable Forest Plantation Management (PHTL) that aims to increase forest production capacity and quality without compromising long-term natural environment sustainability. It is created by Indonesian Ecolabelling Institute, an accreditation body for natural resource certification scheme in forestry, as well as for marine and agricultural products.
Chlorine Free, ECF & TCF
Chlorine will produce hazardous materials when it is mixed with wood pulp during paper manufacturing process. Therefore our selected environmental friendly vendors replace chlorine with more natural materials for paper bleaching. Such treatment avoids generating hazardous materials that can be harmful to both human beings and the environment. This technology is called Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) and Totally Chlorine Free (TCF).
